Is it real or is it AI? 🤷♂️Whether it’s a speech from President Biden or a new song from Drake — many of us find ourselves asking that question more and more often.AI has become scary good in seemingly no time. And even though it makes for a lot of fun memes, it’s also quickly becoming a huge cyber threat.According to Keeper Security’s latest report, there is a strong surge of cyber attacks that use AI-powered technology and deepfakes.The first measure you should take as a security leader to protect your organization is simple: make sure your employees are aware.Because when tech-savvy people are falling for AI, we have to assume our employees will do the same.With Guardey, your employees get weekly micro-learnings about cyber threats such as AI, phishing, and malware.This won’t necessarily ensure they’ll recognize every deepfake out there.But they will be aware of the fact that they ARE out there.

Regular (short) training is more effective than a yearly full-fledged course.Many organizations understand the importance of security awareness training. But they don’t want it to take too much time. However, they’re willing to give up one day a year for full-on training.There are two reasons why this is the wrong solution:𝟭. 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻People can only retain so much information at a time, let alone retain it for a longer period. After a few weeks without repetition, we forget most of what we’ve learned, and awareness wavers.𝟮. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲Many organizations look at security awareness training as something they have to do for compliance reasons. “Let’s just set up a yearly training and we’ll be good.”Wrong. Most information security standards, such as ISO 27001 and NIS2, require organizations to offer regular awareness training to employees.𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼-𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀The modern solution is simple: micro-learning and gamification. Now that attention spans are shorter than ever, but cybercrime is at an all-time high, security awareness training can no longer be long-winded and boring.With regular, short training materials and gamification elements such as leaderboards, badges, and storylines, you can keep users engaged and make sure their awareness improves over time.
